Quality Assurance
IHMS recently established a specialty program to meet the Quality Assurance needs of the admissions / registration process. Our solution is offered in conjunction with our eligibility services at a minimal cost to you, our client. IHMS reviews each inpatient admission for specific quality control items:
- Signed Condition of Admissions
- Signed Authorization
- Insurance Notification
- Missing Demographic Information
If the third party carrier wasn't notified of the admission IHMS immediately notifies them. IHMS works towards completing missing patient/guarantor information and obtaining patient signatures in order to complete the registration process. If the patient is classified as self-pay the file is referred to our eligibility staff to review for potential Medicaid / AHCCCS / Medi-Cal coverage. These activities are all part of the quality assurance process. At the end of each month we provide a quality report card for your facility giving you a complete review of the month's activities. If errors were found on an admission, they are tracked and reported. This program has been proven to save money that would otherwise be lost through inaccurate and incomplete registration information. This is just one more of the many "value" added services IHMS provides our clients.

Capabilities
This particular program is only available for clients that currently use our Eligibility Services. IHMS is able to implement a fully functioning Quality Assurance Program with very little notice. For larger facilities staff in addition to our PFA's may be required.
